St Joseph's Primary School in Millmerran was established in 1959 and originally staffed by the Sisters of St Joseph, an Australian order founded by Saint Mary MacKillop in 1866.  The school was built with much voluntary labour and is regarded by the Catholic community with great pride.

St Joseph's caters for children from Prep to Year 7.  The current level of student enrolments allows for close interaction between parents, students and staff.  Our staff endeavours to foster a climate of meaningful learning, love, security and personal interest in each student.

As part of the Diocese of Toowoomba, the school is administered by the Toowoomba Catholic Education Office.

Each Friday on Formal Assembly a student shall be presented with the "Mary MacKillop Award". This weekly award will recognise a child from Prep - Year 7 involved in 'random acts of kindness'. Students awarded this hold true to the Mary MacKillop charism ‘never see a need without doing something about it’.

 

A production fit for Broadway in New York! Millmerran has witnessed a musical triumph with this years "Best Foot Forward" performed at the Millmerran Cultural Centre on the 9th of September 2011. From the smallest of preppies to the eldest of the year 7's, they danced and sang their little hearts out. With many hours spent by dedicated parents and staff the costumes looked like they came striaght off the movie set. A flawless performance from our superb kids, amazing props and set from our incredibly talented Mrs Sharp and of course the remarkable dedication and artistic ability of our director Mrs Judd, made for a night that will be remembered for a very long time. The bar was set high before, it is now completely out of the ball park!!
